Baby Moves

Well I am at 32 weeks and counting down fast!  I’m so surprised at how fast the time is going by.  Work will be coming to an end soon, prenatal classes are next weekend, life insurance has been bought, wills are being written…it’s amazing what can be accomplished when expecting your first child.  I don’t [...]

The Olympic Dream

Well it has been much too long since I last wrote having been completely consumed by the events that have taken place here in Whistler over the last few weeks.  The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics came on like a wild storm and as quickly as it came into town, it suddenly vanished like a beautiful [...]

Online Shopping. My new favourite past-time!

I have to say that with being pregnant comes new reason to shop for the best deals.  One day you have everything you need and then the next you need to buy a million things, so much that it becomes extremely over whelming.
Every time I make a trip to the city to my new favourite [...]

Our Christmas Purchase

The one thing both my husband and I agreed on was to invest in a good stroller, one that would allow me to take walks on trails and still be able to maneuver easily in public spaces.  We needed something durable, functional and practical and through our research we decided on the Baby Jogger City [...]

First Kicks!

Well it certainly took longer than desired but I am very excited to say that I can finally feel M.J. now!  Looking back at it, I had been feeling movement here and there but I couldn’t determine whether it was the baby or simply gas!
My mother told me that the first time she felt me [...]

M.J’s “First Christmas”

All I want for Christmas…

This year my Christmas wish is pretty easy… A healthy happy baby in May.  That’s really the only thing that matters these days to my husband and I,  but I suppose I also wouldn’t mind feeling M.J. move too!  It is slightly frustrating and a bit frightening not feeling any movement this far into pregnancy.
I [...]

Anyone else experiencing a sore belly?

Over the last couple of days I have been experiencing pain about two inches above my belly button. I have felt it before but only briefly and now it seems to be constant. My guess is that it is my stomach mussels stretching but I’m not entirely sure, so I did some “Googling” last [...]

The Prenatal Screening Results

Yesterday we made another trip down to the city to see our Baby’s Doctor for the results of our ultrasound and our prenatal screening tests.  Although a bit nervous, we always seem to be very excited when we see our Doctor because we get to talk about the Baby!
Clearly the most pressing matter we needed [...]

The Ultrasound!

Finally the day we’ve been anxiously awaiting arrived yesterday! Our first official ultrasound.  Finally we will get to see our little one and hopefully see all the correct parts in the right places.
Your first ultrasound requires a full bladder which of course is uncomfortable.  We had to travel 1.5 hours to St. Paul’s Hospital in [...]
